More Fall Fun

If I haven't said it before, I just love this time of year! I love the way the sun shifts and lets you know that it's fall. I love the smells and the changing colors of trees. I love that there are so many wonderful things to do during the fall season, and that having a child makes it all the more enjoyable.

Last week, Declan and I went with some of our friends to yet another pumpkin patch, this one in Central Point, OR. Then, Sean, Declan and I traveled down to Sonoma, CA to stay with my mom and step-dad for the weekend and experience fall fun there, as well as visit Train Town.

Declan had a blast, especially with the pumpkins which he thinks are balls. He runs around saying "Ball, ball, ball!" He also really enjoyed the train rides, a carousel ride, and feeding a sheep and some goats!

Pumpkin Patch

On Sunday we went to a pumpkin patch with our good friends, Chris, Mandy & Cole. Sean and I decided to go one we had been to several years in a row called Pheasant Fields Farm because we just enjoy it so much there. And this year didn't disappoint.

Cole & Declan were enthralled with all the animals they have there; a goat, sheep, chickens, a bunny & turkeys. We went through the corn maze and on a hay ride, and we of course picked out some pumpkins and had a wonderful time all around.

And on somewhat of a side note, last October when Declan was just 6 weeks old, my mom bought him an adorable fall/halloween outfit that we put him in for our trip to this very pumpkin patch last year. When I was at a children's second hand store a couple weeks ago, I found the exact same outfit but in the 12 month size so I bought it and he wore it on Sunday!

Another Fall Festival

Last Saturday, we again ventured out to a fall festival, this time in Talent.
It was a beautiful day and this festival had different activities to offer than the one two weeks ago.

Declan got a perfect little pumpkin from one of the booths, which he held the entire time he was in the stroller. He also got the opportunity to ride a pony, which he loved.

There were a lot of vendors of all kinds as well as games & crafts for kids, a live band, and even a belly dancer (not sure how fall-ish that is, but whatever).

I just love this time of year and it is so exciting for me to have my sweet baby boy and my darling husband to share it with!
